Ladder lock

Ladder lock for 50 mm (2in) wide straps. It is used for attaching D-rings to the harness or for securing the straps in the backplate against slipping through. It is made from stainless steel. Its main advantage is its thickness (4 mm, 5/32 in), which is more than twice the standard size. With such thickness the strap is bent twice almost to a right angle, which significantly increases the friction coefficient compared to lock made from thin steel. Additionally, it is not deformed even when strained a lot, which is not true for thin locks. The edges of the lock do not damage the strap, as they are all rounded and polished.
